You should avoid 100% this company. They only wants to stole your money and give the worst service. Many others are available to serve you better. When you call, they take the message and treated as they like. They change the charges at any time without asking or inform you. You get the bill and you have to pay. ร‰viter ร  100% de faire affaire avec cette compagnie. Plusieurs autres compagnies qui sont disponibles pour vous servir beaucoup mieux que ces idiots qui ne comprennent rien et qui ne sont jamais disponibles. Elles prennent le massage et elles lโ€™interprรจtent comme elles le veuelent. En fait, je nโ€™ai jamais vu des idiots pareil.

Ripped off

Had a fill up in January, just showed up randomly, charged me $1.01 a litre had another tank filled the day before, with another propane server they own, charged .63 cents a litre, these two yards are an 1/8 of a mile apart, they don't know how to schedule and charge way more than the other companies,and there service department in Ontario don't care obout us in the west,

i just switched propane suppliers. This is some advice anybody who locks in with a contact for 5 years with a floating price is looking for trouble.

Moving forward I bought my own 500 gallon tank and installed a meter on it.

Propane suppliers set there price from the refineries in the summer like enbridge gas where they buy the gas in the summer when it cheap and store it in the ground and charge high prices in the winter. i just filled up fir 50 cents a liter there is not alot of trust out there with most company's

Gouging make-work call

I got an automated call from Superior propane which I answered,I was told my tank and system needs to be checked. They explained that it would cost $99 for tank and around $200 per appliance attached to it ( I have seven). I told them that I would get back to them as I needed to look into it. As my tank was low I called them back so as to fill it right away before inspection and was told there was a hold on delivery to us. We have been with Superior for close to fifteen years and were not given more than fifteen minutes before we were denied drlivery. Long story short I called Browns fuel, THEY CAME NEXT DAY, INSPECTED FOR FREE FREE FREE. I have disassociated myself from Superior Propane as I found them to be underhanded and unethical. BRAVO BROWNS FUEL AND THANKS.

Rip off fees

I'm canselling my service with them and I found much cheaper propane provider.l I'm stuck with $250 removal fee. I'm paying already for tank rental and now i have to pay for them to remove their own equipment from my property.l This is ridicilous. Apparently, there is a vauge mention in the contract about possible fees that may be implied by the company. These fees were never disclosed or sent to me. On top of that it was never mentioned to me about removal fees when I talked to their sales rep. High rates for propane. They lock you in for 12 months vs 8 months in other companies. In June i pay same price as if it was January (peak of heating season). Garbage company, garbage service. Hidden fees that noone tells you about. STAY AWAY FROM SUPERIOR PROPANE!!!!!

After 22 years switching to coop

This year they increased rental fee by 33 percent. I asked and they said it is what it is and they are competitive. I checked coop and 15 percent cheaper as well coop does not charge hazmat and transport fees as superior has since around 2006 which for me is about 1000 dollars. Poor customer attitude by Nathan who suggested I check with coop and glad I did. Anyone need propane to heat house go with coop, lower tank rental, lower rate and no hazmat nor transport fee as well as a re bate program, for seniors like myself this is a win win, disappointed and thanks to Nathan at superior for suggesting I check out competitors like coop

Worst company in Canada

this company is the worst company I ever dealt with. Had an account with them for 9 years, continually billed me for services that I didn't receive.

Delivered propane to the wrong address multiple times and billed me for it. Would send a mid season reason for 3 times the amount of what the bill should have been. In 2017 ran into a financial issue due to TWO parents who had heart surgery, took me off a monthly payment plan and told me I had to pay COD. Paid the account in full and went to COD didn't cash the cheque for a month, and unfortunately after a month thought it had cleared so when it actually did go to the bank it NSF'ed.

ONE MONTH AFTER IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CASHED!! Told me I had to be COD if I wanted propane and it had to be the full amount due. In 9 years I only had one issue with NSF until my parents had heart surgery . The employees are rude, they say whatever they want to you with no repercussions.

I hate this company with a passion unfortunately they are the only company providing service in my area so I have no choice but to use them. I am going to the media this week with all the issues.......

Billed for unscheduled 10 yr inspection.

Yesterday I arrived at home to an invoice on my door. It was for a 10 year Inspection that was not done.

I was billed over $300.00 for their time to drive to my home. I phoned their office and they said the inspection was booked by phone in October 2017. They said they would contact me by cell today with more info. Could this be a scam to force me to double bill me?

I'm due for a 10 year inspection, but I would think it would be booked a week or two ahead, not months! Has this happened to you? If so, I'd like to know the outcome.

If the outcome is negative, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau to make a complaint. Thank you for your time.

Complaining to the BBB is a useless endeavor. Apparently, you or someone in your home allowed them to book the inspection for months in the future.

Not wise, but then the appointment was forgotten about. I doubt this is a scam to double bill, but you might question them on why they didn't call you prior to the date in order to confirm the inspection date and time---like most professional businesses and professionals do. Since they did nothing as you were not home, I would most certainly not pay them for nothing.

They believe they have you "over a barrel" but I suspect there are other propane companies out there you can go to. The $300 charge is excessive anyway.

Got an email from superior to click here to see next years pricing. Took me to website. Bottom of page in small print says i am now locked in for a year again. I called and canceled. 4 months later got a $284 bill for canceling early. Never will go back. Very slick people.

The Pain of Dealing with Superior Propane

Well, Superior eventually showed up. And they were quite quick to bill me.

But I never heard a word of explanation or received an apology from them.

My outgoing pipes are now about 90% blocked due to a frozen mass. It can take an hour and more for the toilet to drain....

Superior Propane has the dedicated habit of not cashing cheques. Then, when you send in a replacement for the uncashed cheque they cash both at the same time.

So, to prevent this, I write on all my cheques to Superior Propane 'void if not cashed within 15 days'. Problem solved. Right? I guess not.

On 31 Dec 2017 I requested a fill up of my tank. On 8 Jan 2018 at 8:37AM the driver (Robert) promptly showed up. He sat out front of my home for 2 minutes. Never left his truck.

Then drove away. Without filling my tanks. On 10 Jan 2018 I received an e-bill from Superior saying my order had been filled. That driver Robert had delivered 0 liters of fuel.

The good news was that they would not be charging me for this. My balance owed was $0.00. I guess I don't have to worry about Superior cashing two cheques this time. Great job Robert.

I have had the worst experiance with this company , right from the get go. This company has over charged me for a heater and install .

and never did fix this original problem. They put a 500 pound tank in , on soft ground with a 2x4 piece of wood to prop it up , they used a old ratchet strap to secure the tank to a small piece of metal on my shop- I've complained several times over this and still haven't had it repaired or done to code in my region. I paid for and had installed a programable thermostat, which broke. They came to repair and put this used cheap old school thermostat in and said they will replace when new one arrives and still haven't (3 years ago) The heater they sold me and installed has broke down every year since install.

Recently I've contacted to have my tank filled , asked how much I'm paying and found they are charging me close to $1.12 a litre plus delivery - this is absurd . The other guys in town are at .78 a litre. I asked to cancel my account with this outfit. They tell me I've signed a contract with them and locked in for 5 years.

These guys cannot supply this contract or any proof that I have a contract with them. I have called the 1800 number several times . I've left messages and have had no call back. I asked them to compete with the other company and they replied saying I'm not a good enough customer to supply cheaper propane .

This guy working in the front desk in Whitehorse is ignorant and a *** . He says he will charge me anyways , although he cannot prove contract . Told him that I have a problem with that and he replied saying he will send it into collections. This guy should not be the guy dealing with public or customers .

do not deal with superior propane out of Whitehorse yukon . This outfit shouldn't even be in business.

There customer service is horrible . There tech guys suck aren't trained and *** up everything they touch , both here at my house and several mines I've worked at .

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!

Customer Beware!!!! This is the absolute worst company you can deal with.

I had repeated billing issue with them, they charged me for a service job when the technician didn't even show up. I made the mistake of signing up for a 3 yr tank rental. Within that time we received natural gas. I called and told them to pick up the tanks after the contract matured.

They told me they renewed my contract even though I called about 6 months ahead to let them know as per their contract. Now they wanted to charge me $250 contract breaking fee. On top of it, I was slapped with $250 tank removal fee which was never mentioned in my contract and or discussed prior to installation. I read the contract line by line, so don't tell me it was in there.

So, I got on the phone with a manager who waved! off the cancellation fee but I have to pay the removal fee. He even confessed its a loophole in the contract, but I have to pay.

Why I am paying for something which I didn't consent to it!! Find another supplier in your area, you will thank me later.

I closed out my account with Superior and there was a $250 pick up fee for the tank. I was informed, but when I called for an explanation of the charges, or a breakdown, none was given. They have zero explanation for why I paid $250 for them to do 10 minutes of work, other than thatโ€™s what it is. They charge you to rent a tank ($150/year), and they charge you to pick up that same tank. This service was here when we moved into our house, we wonโ€™t be going back to Superior any time soon. We are very unsatisfied.

Ive been with this comapny for 2 months. Month one, show up a week late and pur tank is empty. 3 phone calls 1 hr total. Month 2, driver SITS IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR 10 MINUTES AND LEAVES. I go next door to ask why i didnt recieve propane. Drivers response โ€œ not my problem, the company should call you.โ€ 4 days later, 3 broken garuntees, 4 phone calls total of over an hour and still no propane. Oh and theres a massive ice storm tonight. Unprofessional, unacceptable and unorganized. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Worst service ever

Ive been with superior since March as I purchased a home with the tank already here. I should have changed right away as suggested by my neighbour who deals with Moore propane. Dont waste your time and money with Superior. Ive been waiting 2 weeks for a fillup. Ive called nearly everyday since, and they keep saying "tomorrow" . How can they keep running a business based on.lies. pretty terrible. I will be switching in the summer. I cant wait to get rid of this horrible company.
